I think the simplest way is to use the Paste Values, Transpose onto my Quarterly Summary Worksheet, as long as I remember to do the sat the end of each Quarter it will be fine, what it doesn't enable is a 'snapshot' of where we are at any point during the So I am still not able to do exactly what I would like :( To update, and bring in line with the requirements of a Pivot table would be a challenge, and also will need me to delete or remove data from previous years, as the Pivot Table needs (or appears to need) continuous data rather than having hidden rows (which Yes I checked out Jim's suggestions, and I now have a clearer idea of how Pivot Tables work, but it doesn't actually solve my issue, so of which I now realise is to do with the way my data is formatted on my source worksheets, which although is possible

If anyone has any ideas, but wants to see the original Workbook I can provide a simplified and anonymous version.
EXCEL MARGIN EQUIVALENTS FOR MAC UPDATE
I would be interested to know if there is a simpler way of doing this, and i am at a loss, i even tried a Pivot Table but that doesn’t quite work either, as i need to be able to update the data regularly (at least on a quarterly basis) Option all the formula were automatically updated, and therefore giving wrong information.Ĭurrently the only way i have managed to do this is by manually entering the data into the summary sheet, which is feasible, but doesn’t allow me to simply select a cell, and copy the formula across, so i have to enter for example =Reciepts!H144 in cellī5 on my Summary sheet, then =Reciepts!I144 in B6 etc. Of each column in these worksheets that I want to copy over onto the Quarterly summary sheet, and so far i have not found a way of transposing the columnar data from the income (or expenses) worksheets into rows on the summary! When i used the Paste Transpose The Income and Expenses sheets have a number of columns for the various types of income, and expenses. I have an Excel Workbook containing several worksheets, 1 for income, 1 for expenses, and a third that is a quarterly summary.
